Aluminium Roofing and Cladding
Aluminium is a highly economical material. On average, it is around 25% less expensive than zinc. It is UV and sea air resistant, making it an excellent choice for coastal areas. Not just for roofs, but also for wall cladding, aluminium roofing is a terrific option.
Reasons why aluminium is a great roofing material:
- Aluminium is one of the lightest metal roofing sheets, it adds little weight to the structure.
- Highest strength to weight ratio of any metal so it is a super strong material.
- Aluminium does not corrode or rust but can have a slight surface oxidation over a long period of time.
- It is usually still cheaper than zinc, and alos comes lots of colours to match up with window RAL Colour.
- Environmentally friendly as 60% of aluminium is produced using renewable energy and 90% of roofing aluminium is made from recycled materials.
